Ocean Lovers Festival

Ocean Lovers Festival is Australia’s premier cultural and science event dedicated to the ocean. Originally founded in Bondi, the festival is expanding this year into a city-wide celebration across Sydney. Ocean... Lovers Festival Sydney brings together Ideas, Art + Music, and Action to honour the ocean. Throughout Sydney, the festival will feature entertainment, cultural programs, interactive experiences, and activities ranging from sports to citizen science—all aimed at supporting a thriving harbour and ocean. Throughout March, a month-long program will invite the public to dive into marine exploration, discovery, innovation, and restoration. Some of the events on the north side of Sydney include: Manly Microplastic Hunt WHEN: 9am - 11.30am Sunday, March 2 WHERE: Manly Cove Beach, NSW Join AUSMAP for an incredible hands-on experience where you can sample your local beach for microplastics using the AUSMAP microplastic citizen science method. By participating, you'll contribute valuable data to the largest microplastic database in Australia—and possibly the world! Did you know that Manly Cove holds the record for our longest-running microplastic dataset? ​This family-friendly event welcomes all ages. Bring your loved ones along to learn about the impact of microplastics and become a scientist for the day! Together, we can make a difference and HELP put microplastics on the map. International Women’s Day Markets

To coincide with International Women’s Day, a maker and creators’ market will be held on Saturday 8 March 2025, 8am – 2pm. The markets will celebrate creative local women, allowing them to showcase... and sell their art, craft, jewellery, accessories, clothing or product that they have personally made, designed or created.

The Beaches Market @Palmy

Located at Governor Phillip Park, the iconic Palm Beach Market has been running since 2008. Sitting at the most northerly tip of Sydney, it's the destination of choice for tourists, day-trippers and locals... alike who are drawn to Palm Beach for its idyllic setting and picture postcard scenery. The market offers customers a wide selection of products to browse including high quality homewares, fashion and jewelry. You could pick up a loaf of fresh bread, grab some homemade cakes, or take home some local honey. There's always plenty on offer at Palm Beach. Why not stay for lunch? There is a great variety of food stalls to choose from including  Traditional Fish and Chips, Gozleme, Dumplings or perhaps a fresh juice. And of course, there is great coffee! Manly Writers Festival

Beyond the world famous Manly Beach and eponymous ferry, Manly has a literary life. Just like the entire city, Manly and the Northern Beaches is an area rich in cultural and linguistic diversity and creativity.... This festival for readers, writers, and thinkers will bring together ideas and writing, and explore issues at a time of significant change in the world, as well as simply enjoy great stories. Whether you're into history, politics, crime, sport, fiction, or anything that is a good read, we host storytellers for three days around the end of March/early April each year in a challenging, relaxed, and fun environment. The Manly Writer's Festival will feed your heart and mind, and aims to leave you energised, informed, and inspired. Meet other readers and authors, hear from and talk with our special guests, rub elbows with aspiring writers, or join in a book club discussion.

Beach 2 Beach 2025

Organised by the Rotary Club of Brookvale, over those 30 years, the event has raised over $5.5 million dollars for wonderful organisations including Life Education Australia, Northern Beaches Interchange... (NBI), Surf Life Saving Northern Beaches, Without A Ribbon, Bear Cottage, OneEighty and Sunnyfield. The event has three course options, catering for everyone from serious runners to families – 13km from Dee Why Beach to Newport Beach; 6km from Warriewood to Newport Beach; and 3km from Mona Vale to Newport Beach. This is undoubtedly Sydney’s most scenic fun run, taking in many of the spectacularly beautiful Northern Beaches. A huge Family Festival is held at the Newport Beach finish line with live music, a licensed bar area, international food options and plenty of fun rides and games for the kids. The aim of the Rotary Club of Brookvale is for 100% of your registration fees to go back to local and other needy charities and service organisations. Beach2Beach 14 Kms Run / Walk – Dee Why to Newport Beach Challenge yourself in Sydney’s most scenic fun run! Challenge yourself to an epic 14 km run with friends or run for your community! The 14 km course follows the amazing picturesque coastline of the Northern Beaches from Dee Why to Newport. The Beach2Beach is a running/walking event for everyone -serious runners, casual runners, brisk walkers, slow walkers, people with disabilities, families with children and families pushing prams.  There is a pace that suits everyone! 6KMS | Run/Walk Warriewood to Newport Beach Not too early, not too long… just right! Not too early!  Not too long!  Just right! This is a fantastic mix of fun and fitness starting at Rat Park in Warriewood and heading up to Turimetta Headland. Challenge yourself to an enjoyable 6 km run with friends to build team spirit or as a family bonding experience.  Most importantly run/ walk with your community and for your community! The Beach2Beach is a running/walking event for everyone -serious runners, casual runners, brisk walkers, slow walkers, people with disabilities, families with children and families pushing prams.  There is a pace that suits everyone! 3KMS | Run/Walk Family Fun Start – Mona Vale to Newport Beach Bring the kids, bring the stroller, wear some fancy clothes and have fun!   Perfect for families and a great starting point for young athletes looking to eventually progress to longer races. You’ll join the 13km and 6km runners at Apex Park, Mona Vale Beach. Most importantly run/ walk with your community and for your community!
